Steven Horowitz

New York City personal injury attorney Steven Horowitz takes great pride in continuing the litigation strategies developed by his father over the past 48 years. A partner at the firm, Steven handles the appellate practice. He has handled a wide spectrum of plaintiffs personal injury appeals, including those involving premises liability accidents, trip and falls, construction accidents, automobile accidents, and wrongful deaths. With such an attorney on our team, if your case is decided improperly by a lower court judge, this firm is comfortable fighting for you in the higher courts by seeking appellate review of the legal basis of the decision. Likewise, if your adversary seeks appellate review of a lower court decision, this firm is prepared to oppose such an appeal.

Steven Horowitz also brings his appellate court experience to each case handled at the firm regardless of whether it involves an appeal. From the outset, he is involved in developing the theory of your case based on the most recent decisions by the appellate courts. As your case progresses, he will be intimately involved in any complex, substantive motion or other complex legal issues that may arise in the trial court.

William J. Sanyer

William Joseph Sanyer first joined the law firm in April 1997 as a paralegal.  His creative thinking, tenacious work ethic and attention to detail have contributed tremendously to the success of many of our clients.

Inspired by how the law can positively impact a person’s life, and with the encouragement of his mentor, David Horowitz, William enrolled in law school.  In law school, he developed his trial advocacy skills, legal reasoning and negotiating skills as a member of the Moot Court Team and as a Teacher’s assistant in both Tort Law and Trial Practice.  His dedication and work ethic to the clientele was evidenced by the fact that he continued to work part time with the firm to provide valuable assistance to clients during law school.  In July 2007, he successfully passed both the New York and New Jersey bar exams after which he returned to the law firm full time.

Today, Mr. Sanyer is one of our most fierce litigators and a skilled negotiator.  Significantly, his bilingual skills allow him to communicate directly with all our Hispanic clients.  If you speak Spanish and have a legal issue, William is the attorney you want.

William is part of the family at David Horowitz, P.C. and we are proud to count him among our elite attorneys.
